The game of ladder golf, known by some as "rib golf", originated in the USA, where tournaments are organised every year. In Denmark, it is more commonly used as a garden game and is especially popular at summer garden parties. Fun and simple entertainment where everyone can join in. The ladder golf set includes 2 x 3 ball sets in a solid quality.
Ladder golf rules
Find an open area and place the stand 6 metres from a back line/throwing spot. There should also be about 3 metres behind the stand. Make sure there are no delicate objects behind the stand as the golf balls can hit hard. Players must stand behind the throwing line. The team with the youngest player starts.
The balls are thrown in turn by holding one ball and throwing the ball string towards the stand. Points are scored by getting the ball string to wrap around one of the ribs.
The top rib scores 3 points, the centre rib scores 2 points and the bottom rib scores 1 point. In addition, 1 bonus point is awarded if all balls are on the same rib. The maximum points per round is 7 points - if all balls are on the top peg.
When the first team has thrown their balls, points are counted and then it's the next team's turn. A specific number of points (11 or 21) is agreed upon and must be hit precisely - otherwise you start all over again.
You can distract your opponents by making sounds or movements, but body contact is not allowed.
